This boy, Masato, who appears to be about eight years old, is actually an immortal who has lived for eight hundred years. He is searching for someone to be his "mother," and he constantly feeds women mermaid's flesh in order to find a new immortal mother. However, most of these women become "lost souls." This kid is basically evil incarnate. | |

Masato's current "mother" met Masato in World War II. She had just lost her own eight-year old son. Masato offered her the mermaid's flesh and at first she became immortal. However, the mermaid's flesh wasn't completely effective, and every time she died it took her longer and longer to come back to life. Masato refused to let her go, and she tried to escape him often, and he would follow her and beat her up or kill her every time she ran away. |  Mana, Yuta |
| Masato, wants Mana to be his "new mother," as she is already a complete immortal. However, when he tries to kill Yuta, Mana vows she will spend the rest of her life (and THAT is a REALLY long time) searching for Masato until she kills him. Masato repies, "What a horrible girl.
