| A boy who is about eight years old who lives with his "mother." His "mother" has been giving him the family "medicine" (mermaid ashes) for many years in order to get his body used to the mermaid before she tries giving him the flesh to make him immortal. The flesh did not work on her completely and she has a large scar on her face which keeps reappearing, so she has to "change faces".... i.e. cut the face off a dead woman, and her own, and place the "new" face on. The "new" face attaches itsef and shows no sign of scaring... effectively disguising her as a different woman. She tried giving the flesh to her REAL son, Nanao, who is actually the boy Nanao's father, but the flesh only made him very sick and almost die. So, she decides to kidnap her son's son and raise him as the son she had to give up... and to try and make the "new" Nanao immortal. Of course, when Mana and Yuta discover that this is going on, they decide to stop it... |
