17 was sort of an odd volume, which is why I didn't
bother translating it. Tsukushi wakes up the next day
after the "incident" from Volume 16, and
decides to go out looking for a job since she can't stand
working with her mother anymore. She finally finds a job
at a place that sells corn on the cob! Her new boss tells
her that she will be working with someone else, and that
person finally shows up. Tsukushi is shocked!! It's the
boy from the night before...!! He's not nearly as weird
as the night before, and (I think) he apologizes for what
he did. I believe he either thought she was A. someone he
once had loved, or B. A ghost or something. I was really
confused by this part. They end up becoming sort-of
friends, although Tsukushi still obviously thinks he's
nuttier than a fruitcake. He calls Tsukushi
"Tsuku-onee-chan" which is basically "Big
Sister Tsukushi". This is a very different guy than
we saw before. Meanwhile, back at Eitoku Gakuen, we see Yuuki, Soijirou, Kazuya, and (??? Yuuki's old boyfriend?!?! Akira with straight hair?!) sitting at a table talking about Tsukushi and Domyouji. Domyouji waltzes in and he's acting like an asshole. Soijirou gets REALLY pissed off and him and get's in Domyouji's face, yelling at him about what he could have done to upset Tsukushi so much that she disappeared. Domyouji get's extrememly upset, and decks Soijirou. Soijirou fights back, and there is a BIG scuffle between the two of them as Yuuki and Kazuya and the other guy stand on looking horrified. Finally the two get separated and we are left with an image of Domyouji leaning against the wall and wiping the blood off his face as Kazuya and Yuuki help Soijirou walk away. Flash back to Tsukushi, who's sitting on the beach talking to the boy. I can't remember his name ^_^ I will look it up, promise!! Tsukushi sees images in her head of Domyouji, and she thinks his name "Domyouji..." and then she starts to cry. The boy looks at her, bewildered, and says, "Tsuku-onee-chan?" |
